Pros

Established and critical technology Flexible time (for now at least)

Cons

Inefficient management due to lack of technical skills. Not employees friendly. They would do anything to cut costs. Two layoffs within a year. They are asking people to come back on-site even when the work could be done remotely. Highly likely Kioxia merge will happen and result in more layoffs

Pros

Strong old school Company with really smart people that are willing to collaborate and sometimes mentor young people like myself. Some are resentful as we get treated much better than them, but it doesn't have to be so obvious as it's embarrassing as it causes friction within the team.

Cons

Salaries are not competitive as many employees get brought in low in the range and then there is never enough money to catch up. Older workers are targeted for layoffs because senior leaders sayin group meetings that they can get 2 for 1 and older workers are slow and not motivated. Even though I'm young, this is hurtful age discrimination as it affects one of my parents who work here and is against the law. The company claims that ethics is a towering strength, however, they allow senior leaders to break all the rules including lying to the government.

Pros

Good on-site benefits (lunch, gym, etc)

Cons

Awful management. They push you until you die at your desk. You're expected to work through the night, all the time. "Unlimited vacation time" means you're never actually allowed to take any by your boss. Projects turn into zombies that never die. You'll spend all your time in useless meetings surrounded by 30 other people, nobody paying attention to the meeting, everyone working on their laptops and nothing gets done and then you get in trouble for not hitting your checkpoints.
