      Lots to learn: -Firmware -ASIC Design -Digital Signal processing -Electricity and magnetism -Control systems -Aero engineering -Mechanical engineering -Materials engineering -Data management and flow WD is a great place for new grads to get exposure to the dynamics of a global giant. The theory behind hard drive engineering is extremely interesting.

      -Long work hours -90% of projects get canceled -aggressive deadlines -depressing environment -terrible bonuses (very small amount) -raises are not given often -WD is stingy

      Light workload, bored out of my mind. No opportunities to advance since there's no opportunities to prove yourself.

      Pros

      You have the opportunity to be a part of a huge integration process. The storage industry is changing and you'll be able to learn and grow with the company as it learns and grows.

      Cons

      It's an old and traditional company that is still getting used to 21st century tools, processes & software programs. Everything is very manual, done on seperate spreadsheets and has a "we've always done it this way" mentality attached to it.
