Pros

WM invests in you and in their job site. We want to be profitable, but the environment and safety undoubtedly come first. I love working here and knowing I have support.

Cons

If you are in the disposal LOB, but more specifically in landfills... you may be somewhere that is very rural, which can be challenging if you don't like that. This is the solid waste industry - and although it is shifting to a more diverse and broad group - it is still full of older caucasian men. Many are wonderful and I don't mean to speak about their character, but more just not so diverse. Also, it can be challenging to find people you like to network with (i.e. I am 24 and everyone is twice my age, bummer). The compensation is very good, however, you will put in the work.
