Hello and thank you for taking the time out of your day to leave feedback on your experience at WP Engine. We're very concerned to hear your experience has been less than satisfactory, especially in regards to work/life balance and compensation. We do try our best to make as many spots available for PTO as possible while also maintaining appropriate levels of staffing. We have adjusted our hiring over the previous months to ensure our shifts are appropriately staffed while still allowing employees time off. In regards to therapy, it is covered under our health insurance offering. The co-cost is dependent on plan but as long as you see an in-network therapist there is coverage available. We also encourage all employees to take a look at our robust Employee Assistance Program, which provides a wealth of resources and support. If you'd like to learn more about our EAP please feel free to reach out to your EE Business Partner or someone on our Total Rewards Team. WP Engine's compensation philosophy is to pay competitive to market based on cost of talent vs cost of living. We utilize salary surveys to review our salary ranges on an annual basis and then conduct an annual salary planning review for merit-based increases. If you're comfortable doing so, we'd encourage you to reach out to your EE Business Partner or anybody on our Employee Experience Team, as we would like to learn more and do our best to address these concerns. We appreciate you taking the time to share and hope that we can discuss this further as this is not the experience we want anybody at WP Engine to have.

Pros

Honestly, none I can think of

Cons

They hire their management and higher ups from outside, the pay for the stress is horrid, people who have never done your job treat you like you are stupid, nobody takes responsibility for anything. Honestly, too many things to list.

Thank you for sharing your experience as it guides our growth. We’re very sorry to hear your time at WP Engine was not a positive one and that you didn’t feel supported or heard as part of our Support organization. We are incredibly grateful for and proud of our Support Team and the people who are part of it. Starting last year, we began listening sessions and quarterly team meetings for our leadership team to engage directly with Technical Support Representatives to hear feedback directly from the experiences of our techs. From these sessions we have made improvements to several areas that were raised by our team members, including working towards providing more time for training, creating more self-service options for customers to reduce incoming requests and improving our capacity planning to ensure we have the right number of team members on each shift. Thank you again for sharing, we wish you success in future endeavors.

Pros

Good benefits, 401k, health insurance, work with amazing people

Cons

Need to be cautious about raising concerns with middle management, as it might have unintended consequences. Limited opportunities for career advancement and personal growth within the organization. Not receiving substantial feedback that's conducive to professional development. Compensation is below market standards compared to other companies.
