Pros
Interesting work. Dynamic young workforce. Generally people are interested in providing the best service offering. Nice location with a good view over London.
Cons
Analytics staff are second-class citizens to brokers. They are not rewarded pay-wise or in terms of business involvement. Brokers often take analytics analysis to meetings alone to present as if it was their own, often despite not being able to explain it. I believe that brokers are concerned about quantitative analysts potentially becoming brokers and are therefore ensuring that they are not involved in the business winning process as a self-preservation strategy. Lack of clarity around bonus, poor pay reviews and employment of a horrific bonus claw back schemes.
