      Pros

      The people below top management have great work ethic and spirit in the face of very greedy top management. Real inclination to cooperate across boundaries. Fighting spirit. Decent working people. Great core business that can't be held back regardless of lack of strategy at the top.

      Cons

      Top management haven't a clue how to grow the company. Obsession is with cost reduction. Top three people must approve every hire, every promotion, every raise. Terrible example and communicates clearly their lack of trust in their people.

      Nice people but not a great atmosphere

      Pros

      The people are generally nice and easy to work with. There are some moves towards improving their systems and trying to put proper procedures in place.

      Cons

      Towers Watson is the result of a merger and there still seems to be a hangover from that with many long term staff unhappy with management and infrastructure since the merger, I don't know if the issues are real but the effect on the atmosphere certainly is. Not a very sociable bunch, no after work drinks and very little conversation in work.

      Compartmentalized mega-corporation that does not seem to understand the insurance middle-market from the inside or out.

      Pros

      The benefits package is solid and comparable to other large corporations.

      Cons

      Very little communication between departments. Rather than offices working as one team/unit, their structure is extremely compartmentalized. Example: Claims department told one thing in regional conference calls; producers told another in theirs; commercial lines told yet another story in theirs. Did not seem to be any communication between department heads at the top of the food chain, they all just tried to do their own thing (doesn't work on a local level!)
