      Pros

      Washington Federal has been in business for 100 years, the strength of the company is very impressive. There is a culture of personal accountability and opportunities to build your own brand while supporting company initiatives. Recently when the tax bill passed Washington Federal gave most employees an additional 5% pay increase on top of regular merit increases and has promised it is the year of the employee and will invest in new technology and training programs. I am consistently impressed with the common sense way things get done.

      Conservative spending on facilities Work load is sometimes unbalanced on certain positions you need to be comfortable and optimistic with an environment of change and growth

      Pros

      As with anything in life... you get out of it what you put into it. I have given this company 110% everyday and they have taken great care of me. I'm excited to see the many changes our company is making for the betterment of the employees, the clients and our share holders. Our EMC team is dedicated and determined for the continued success of our amazing company. Thank you!

      Cons

      As with any company, there are always areas that we can improve on. Training is the number one concern that need immediate attention and action. We need to do a better job with our new hires on teaching them the culture of our company and how to better serve our clients. We tend to rely on outdated material and tribal knowledge.

      Wonderful 401k match and profit share, family culture. New leadership is very promising.

      Career path and salary grade could help employees realize their opportunities and the bank and supplement retention efforts.
