      Wish it paid better

      Pros

      It is a place to work, the benefits are ok. I had much higher expectations.

      Cons

      They are no where near competitive wages from other banks. A PB at WaFd makes less than a teller at other banks. When I found out I was making 5-6 dollars an hour under what my same job title is making at a bank less than a block away...and that was starting wages...I started looking for another job.

      Pros

      Will wear many hats working in the BSA department. You will get "training" so you can assist other teams with their projects. Remote work allows for great work/life balance.

      Cons

      The company recently gutted the bonus program and profit sharing but turned around and created and funded a separate Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan for executives at $150-300k per person per year in addition to their regular 401k plans.

      Pros

      Good company and trying to build a great work culture. I feel try is there but doesn’t get executed correctly. Best part about my job is my branch team.

      Cons

      Back office and management seem very out of touch what it’s like working in branches or with public during the pandemic while most work from home.Policy and procedures are a moving target and feel every mess up is a gotcha moment. Team is very over worked and expected to execute everything 100% while wearing multiple titles. Management continues to push more task or expectations on team and if not positive and uplifting about it you aren’t a team player. Most days I’m #gladtobehear but this last year has been very pressing to breaking points. I love my job and working but most days feel very defeated.
