Pros

The pro's of working for Waffle House are they put an emphasis on the care of people first through servant leadership, taking care of their employees, and their families. I have noticed in the people that I work with that they have high expectations and a growth mindset to get better everyday to reach the goal of ensuring that every individual who walks through the doors of a Waffle House has had a good experience or memory. Lastly, I observed the company values a strong work ethic, authenticity, humility, being relational, community, growth, and having a purpose bigger than ourselves. Also! In-house tradition, music has always been a part of the Waffle House experience and I love playing my favorite songs.

Cons

What some may think of as a con, I think of as an asset and a rewarding career; our work ethic. My observations are that everyone I work with, works hard. This includes Servers, Cooks, Managers, District Managers, Division Managers, Area Managers, SVP's, all the way into corporate. I have nothing bad to say about Waffle House so far in my experience.

Pros

We usually had fun at work.

Cons

Hours were bad. A lot of work place drama. Money was terrible. After paying for my commute I barely had any money left over. So I was only able to work there a short time. Also, people that had been there for a long time had this "high and mighty" attitude, like they wrote your paychecks. I ultimately quit because of another employees attitude about the sink not being cleaned, after I had just spent an hour, cleaning the sink. Not to mention, she was coming in for night shift, which is slow, giving them all plenty of time to do the small things people would forget to do, but the sink was not one of them.
