Pros

The compensation is very competitive. If you like to be a merchandiser this would be a good opportunity for you. Its not like target where everything is drawn up and product goes to the location. Walmart is really focused on saving the customer money and thats a huge upside when working for a company.

Cons

The hours are a huge downside but its known what you will be working when you sign up for the position, it is retail and customers do not shop M-F 8-5. Some of the employees really dont care what they are doing and that just plain hurts business.

Pros

They work my schedule around college. The discount we get is nice. The compensation and benefits package is fair and there is room to work your way up in the company if you're willing to do what is required. The job itself is not hard and honestly a monkey could perform most of the tasks you have to do.

Cons

Employees receive little to no appreciation. The management team can be incompetent and lazy. Management team and department management practice clear and obvious favoritism. New employees and promoted employees do not receive adequate training. Most frequent customers are generally low income and have nothing better to do than raise hell at the Wal-Mart.
