Pros

you have a job, If you are a guy/male, stay away from walmart. They will make you do all the heavy work, even going outside pulling carts, working the back room, will put you at the cash etc. As a department manager, I was given seasonal department and it totally sucked. The ladies get to do nothing basically, except for complaining, backstabbing. they were constantly paging males/department managers to go out and pull shopping carts inside. our work is never done on time and we get blamed. It not fair females get paid same amount, but do less work. Being the only guy in my department, I ended up lifting heavy stuffs, pushing flower-racks etc. Working with 2 collegues (Women) who had bad-back. I had total of 4 workers in my department, all of them were weak. The hiring manager, didnt care and I endeup picking the slack. My store saved money, by hiring less staffs. So you will endup doing all the work

Pros

flexible hours, good staff, managers were nice, people were nice, got to work in many different departments and learn new products

Cons

low pay, unorganized, sometimes schedule can be unflexible. Not all managers are aware of what is happening which makes things get chaotic sometimes
