Interesting work, but an unhealthy culture

Pros

Decent benefits, interesting work and some good people

Cons

Teams are arranged with overlapping responsibilities and expected to fight it out to see who can do the best job. Creates quite a toxic atmosphere

Pros

You get to work in broadcast. The End. Pay is good, But after you do the job long enough the money vs time washes if you are a salaried employee. Oh yeah MEGA stinky weed pens in the elevator, but don't worry you won't get layed off because of a drug test. Maybe if you stayed on the elevator long enough your could get a contact high? In terms of Pros also you may get promoted if you are NOT caucasian. Maybe! Otherwise, its a chance. You might be promoted if you Kiss THE right people. I will let you imagine where. Remember before you join this team....optics matter more than anything else. Keeping things running and ensuring uptime matter the least.

Cons

Cons...well the cons are the executive management. The good ones left.... from executives down. Awesome dudes get promoted because they have a New York accent...yeah it stops there, and you will be on call forever now. Realize weekends are not there for you because its 24x7x365 You are hated as an expense. You will never get promoted by handling MI's. Your knowledge is not held in any high regard. Getting called on Christmas, 4th of July, or name another holiday. Getting to come to the office mostly 3 days a week. But don't worry you can even have a chance at getting demoted to shift work. Really a great re-org should be their moto. DEI...crock of shinola. Knew guys who were match fit that didn't make the cut.....why because you know whatever. No real reasons. There is now acceptance of the company does wtf they are going to do and we adjust to it. Seriously.
