Absolutely NONE..the most unprofessional, unsafe, non structured place I have ever worked at. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT APPLY TO THIS COMPANY! You will be sorry, mark my word! Biggest 3-ring circus I've ever encountered!

I worked for another railroad, (a Class I) for 10yrs so I consider myself very knowledgeable in what I do- I don't know how some of the other shortline carriers operate, but Watco mgmt is terrible and they care NOTHING about safety! This place was a joke..VERY unsafe, no structure, no schedules as to when we were to show up for work until 10:30pm the night before via EMAIL expecting us to be there at 5am that next a.m. And when I finally had had enough & went to HR with the issues, they basically handed me off to the superintendent of the particular railroad I was working for- who then called and tried to chew ME out saying I was "causing problems by reaching out to HR and not going to my Trainmaster"...uh, I HAD been going to my TM for a week trying to ask questions, get answers, etc, to which he would NEVER respond or get in touch with me. Then he asked "well..what do u want me to do? " and I politely told him "put me somewhere else. ANYWHERE else. All of the Watco terminals can't be THIS poorly managed..I'll go anywhere, but I'm not staying at this particular one." And he basically said nope. No can do. You haven't been out here long enough to prove yourself to me or anyone else..You need to submit a resignation letter to the Trainmaster. I said it before and I will say it again...SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE. Look elsewhere for a job! You will 1) LIVE another day to tell about it, and 2) be much happier and better off!
