HR runs the business; far too much influence and not enough support. Managers and directors must abide by their rules when it comes to compensation for employees. If you have an outstanding employee you can only give so much where as if you have a sub par employee you MUST give them some compensation even if performance is poor. Unfair and non-motivational for employees.
Senior staff is nearing retirement and no clear plans on who will take on the lead rolls; especially since the CEO makes most of the decisions himself.
