Pros

You get to work with wonderful scientists and engineers every day who are passionate about making it right for our customers

Cons

- Salary is record low comparing with direct competitors - Almost every week, someone you know leaves for a better job (pay) - HR wants to talk but does not want to listen. They regularly run surveys but none of our inputs are even considered. Employee retention is poor in the last few years and HR doesn't do much to keep experienced employees. - The Science of What's Possible doesn't mean you are treated well as an engineer. - Extremely white men culture. Absolutely low in diversity and inclusion. Org chart is very white. Diversity and Inclusion program is very spotty and is participated by only small fraction of the employees.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We appreciate your candid feedback and your contributions during your time at Waters. We agree that our workforce is made up of some great scientists and engineers who are passionate about their work and want to deliver for our customers. Taking good care of our employees is a huge priority for us and we strive to have a working environment where everyone feels valued, trusted, and respected. As an organization, we are making very deliberate and significant strides toward becoming a more inclusive and diverse workforce. Our employees are always welcome to bring feedback on this to managers or their HR business partners.

Pros

Its a job that pays your bills till you find a real job. Good transitional job.

Cons

Favoritism & incompetence galore, specially at senior management position at the Milford plant. The smart guys leave quickly but the rest of the folks have been there for more than 30 years not because of the love of the company but because they would not be able to find anything outside. People who are well educated are sidelined but the folks who make noise in meetings are celebrated. If you have a masters degree in any field this is not the place to be. Pay is on the low end of the market rate. Its a great place to work for, if you are switching from retail or restaurant industry to manufacturing & operations and can bs confidently. Once inside, its about networking & having lunch with the right people. Covid was a big business booster but now with it being on the backseat, no one can help them. You cant have a world class company with a below average workforce & senior leadership who pick their favorites. Of course you will be doing firefighting daily and will feel burnt out at the end of the day !
