Favoritism is very apparent. Disagreeing with management choices is a very bad idea, they want “yes men”, not necessarily new ideas. Workplace bullying is rather rampant, but I was hoping for a culture shift after management change. Staff is continually reduced forcing more hours, the term “do more with less” is painfully accurate. They get upset when you can’t finish a job but with equipment breakdowns and balancing process issues and trying to get other work done leaves no room for creativity and innovation. The constant rotation of staff in the department hurts the company, I have to take my best employees and focus them on training someone who will most likely leave, be cut or moved out of the department, taking away their ability to do their job. The small raise and annual salary does not seem worth the stress and anxiety at most times now, but jobs are scarce in the area.
