      Great atmosphere and coworkers, ability to accumulate more hours, flexibility, and a great job for college students.

      Cons

      Long work stretches, higher temperatures in the summer, and air quality can be low in certain departments.

      Pros

      Waupaca Foundry offered great benefits to employees even at entry level positions. I enjoyed breaking my back for a company that will do the same for me. Last but not least there seemed to always be something new to learn or improve on due to the wide variety of jobs we did.

      Cons

      The millroom department I worked in had a very high employee turnover rate(one of the highest in the company). Most new employees only lasted 2-5 months because of the labor intensive work making it difficult to keep production up at times.

      At the plant level, management is willing to make decisions needed to "make the numbers". Unfortunately, that means all decisions solve short term needs.

      Cons

      Executive management pushes their objectives foregoing the suggestions and recommendations of plant personnel.
