Pros

- Never bored. - Have an incredible amount of experience to put on a resume.

Cons

- zero work/life balance for management - 24/7 availability for management - can get moved around a lot (management) - too much is asked of any one person (aside from gm who sets the rules) - feeling guilty for taking 5 minutes to eat gets taxing. - pays well, or so it seems, but the pay is not worth the amount of work/responsibility/stress.

Pros

PTO ESOP (after a year after turning 21) 401k Tuition reimbursement Decent hours in the summer Decent pay Employee discount while on the clock

Cons

Management is horrible, I️ had three GM’s & two AGM’s in two years. Managers are allowed to do whatever they want while associates do the work for the shift & after the shift the managers get all of the credit for the shift. Managers play favorites & if you are not a favorite they will treat you horribly. Hours are hard to get in the off season unless you are a manager & overtime is not offered if you are not a manager. Associates only get maybe an hour of pto a week & managers get about three hours a week meaning that they can take four or five vacations a year whereas associates are usually forced to use their pto in the slow season to just get by. Managers took many breaks while associates had to beg for breaks. Many managers did not know the basics of the job they were doing & many associates were overly qualified for the position they held. Managers picked who they would discipline & be harsh with people they didn’t like. If you call HR to report what goes on, HR calls the store while you are placed on hold & tells the MOD who is calling & why. You are not taken seriously as an associate & HR NEVER interrogates the store like they are supposed to do because many people that work HR for wawa started within stores. My store has had many sexual harassment claims that my GM prevented from being reported which is a means for immediate termination. Also new associates get paid more each year so they get paid more than people who have been there for years. There was also so much drama in every store I️ have worked. Work that was done on certain shifts is often under appreciated & taken for granted.

Pros

Flexible hours if your management is worth anything. Competitive pay in the food service industry.

Cons

Management absolutely play favorites. Management takes advantage of you whenever they can. If you're a manager you CONSTANTLY have to cover your worthless co-managers when they call out.
