Leaders model values daily; the team is passionate, caring, and all‑in. People‑first environment. Recognition is frequent, feedback is constructive, and development resources are accessible. High trust and ownership. Clear goals, room to lead, and support when you need it. Mission you can be proud of. Community impact and customer focus make the work meaningful.

      Cons

      Pace is fast. If you’re not self‑driven, it can feel demanding. Growth brings change. Priorities shift; you have to embrace it. Retail hours. Early mornings/holidays happen—comes with the territory.

      Pros

      Wawa has so much to offer for leaders. Compensation and responsiblities are right in line (above industry comparables), and the autonomy with the role is very rewarding. There is a genuine fulfillment with your ability to develop others and realize your potential for leadership. The scope of decision making is in line with Director level roles elsewhere.

      Cons

      Performance is determined explicitly with metrics and on-paper results. Behavioral leadership is necessary and appreciated, but if you have a tough market, you will not feel like you're winning at times.

      Wawa’s company culture and values are truly best in class. I’ve worked for several companies in similar roles, and none of them match the culture or live out their values the way Wawa does. Here, it’s not just words — the company leads with action. There is no better place to work.
