Pros

The products you work on are designed to help people improve their wellness and make better decisions about their healthcare. There are some hardworking people there People work hard

Cons

Not at all a well run organization. The relationship between the corporate operation in NY and the office in Portland is completely disfunctional The opportunities to recognize people who are doing great work are very limited. People who have been there for long periods of time are grossly underpaid Promotions and raises sometimes only when people threaten to quit It would be really hard to claim they care about their people

Pros

Leader in their field of healthcare information provider on the web. Modern work environment which generally has a relaxed rather than hectic/crazy overall vibe. Commitments to schedules and deliverables largely determined by those responsible for them. Decent benefits package.

Cons

Growth has come at the loss of its former small-company, entrepreneurial origins. Increasing levels of bureaucracy and politics. Constant feeling that everyone is expendable. It's sink or swim. Team-centric organization, but many team members focus put their own well being before that of their team. Little given in the recognition for successfully meeting your job expectations, even when you go beyond the call of duty. No means in place to submit new ideas or make suggestions for improvement anything not related directly to your position. Any attempt to do so generally falls on deaf ears.
