Pros

Most people are genuinely nice and approachable including more senior levels. Great clients and good career opportunities, better than average work-life balance.

Cons

Raise and promotion conversations are extremely difficult and frustrating, Canadian leadership prides itself on lack of layoffs but there are regular abrupt firings and turnover across all levels with no explanations that create internal panic. Leadership is weak, evasive and bureaucratic, things are rarely addressed head-on, very conflict avoidant culture throughout the agency.
