At the time there were decent benefits and a comfortable work environment. Friendly customers. A location that is close to home.

Pros

Retail Banking looks good on a resume. I'm still not 100% sure, but it really does.

Cons

Lots of job openings, however it's really tough to advance because the company prefers to hire external candidates. Once you're in a position, you are pretty much stuck there. There are constant reminders of sales goals, even if you are a high performer. Nothing ever seem to be good enough. Managers always have "you can do better" mentality.
