It's All Slowly Coming Together

Pros

The benefits are great as in the health insurance costs, retirement plan, PTO and the pay seems competitive. The atmosphere is positive and though it is slow, I see the company as a whole finally starting to become WellSky with the WellSky values and mission.

Cons

Decisions are slow to be made and at times hold up entire projects as no one seems to want to make the decision or even knows the right way to go. When new acquisitions occur, which is often, you tend to see a sort of power struggle between the new managers and the old as in whom is more valuable and which should be followed when really they should stop with that and follow the one leader, the CEO.

Pros

WellSky offers great benefits and a generous time off plan. They also offer two volunteer days each year, which is a great way to support the employees giving back to the community. There are also lots of fun events -like celebrating holidays, chiefs tailgating at the office, a Royals game once a year, monthly birthday celebrations, etc. The atmosphere is fast paced, expectations are high, and it's a very entrepreneurial vibe. I like working with smart people and this is the right place! They are engaged, friendly, and always willing to share knowledge. While the company is growing, they are having to think and act like a larger company. Sometimes this feels a bit painful, but it I understand it's all for the greater good. The company is financially healthy and there are a lot of growth projections. Personally, I'm excited about the new headquarters in Overland Park. This is a good sign of stability and who doesn't want to work in a new, state of the art facility?!

Cons

There have been a lot of acquisitions recently and it's difficult to bring those cultures into the WellSky folds. Especially when WellSky is still trying to define culture itself.
