Pros

- The company provides performance cycles throughout the year that enable our manager to continuously help you improve and accomplish your goals. It involves ongoing communication between you and your leader through a continuous process of planning, monitoring, reviewing, and rewarding your performance. - The company and your leaders understand work-life balance and actually respect that. This is part of Gympass's culture. - Communication is the key- You can speak with your leaders about any topic and they will always give you their support. - Career growth opportunities- You can apply for any job inside the company and you can speak with your managers about this matter with no hesitation. - The company encourages you to complete your IDP every year to have a better understanding of your career goals. In addition to this, your leaders and your HRBP help you set your goals. - Constructive feedback culture. - Diverse workplace - International Exposure - Sense of Belonging - No Hierarchical/Seniority-Based Culture - You can speak with anyone at any time. No matter the level of seniority, no one is untouchable. This is amazing because creates a strong sense of community.

Cons

- The onboarding process could be very unstructured. - Depending on the department you are working for. You won't find clear info when it comes to your career path inside the company. You have to dig a little deeper to get all info and get in contact with the right people. - You MUST amplify your social network inside the company to boost your visibility. Otherwise, you won't get recognition outside your department. - If you work remotely, it might be difficult for your leader to promote in-person meetings/events with your team.

We appreciate your thorough review of the areas where Gympass shines, and the areas where we could still improve to offer an even better experience for all our employees. We are proud of the inclusive culture we have built, and the fact that our Leadership Model empowers all Gympassers to come forward with ideas, proposals, and even disagreements! We are all working together to achieve the same big goal, and so we value the voices of employees at all levels of the organization. We want to see employees grow in confidence as well as job scope, so we do prioritize frequent communication and feedback, whether it takes the form of a career development conversation with a manager, or a cross-functional sharing of feedback. We also hear your suggestions about where we could improve. For onboarding, we've made some tweaks based on feedback already, and there is a larger project in the works to map out onboarding processes across our regions, and gain insights into what is working, and what could change. We agree with you that making connections within the company can be important for exploring career options. Some Gympassers may feel this happens organically in their roles, but for others it might feel less easy. If you have any suggestions about how Gympass could keep improving, we'd love to learn more about them! Feel free to share them with your HRBP, your manager, or via our quarterly employee survey.

A joyful work environment can be hard to find - we are so glad you found it at Gympass! We understand your point that growth can happen in ways that aren't always neat. As a company, we try to mitigate the impact of changes before, during, and after they happen, but occasionally, unforeseen challenges arise, and that's when our collective adaptability comes into play. If you have specific insights on how we can better navigate the impacts of our growth, we're eager to hear your perspective and collaborate on potential solutions. You're encouraged to initiate an open conversation with your HRBP, your manager, or your colleagues to explore these ideas further. Your input is highly valued!
