Pros
I have been a full-time employee at Wellmark for almost 9 years. I've grown tremendously since starting off at an entry-level position in 2008, to my current professional position. I believe that hard work, determination, flexibility, and enthusiasm will take you places, and Wellmark has proven this to be correct.
I have felt free, and been encouraged to explore different career paths here at Wellmark that I'd never even considered a possibility in the past. I've grown by leaps and bounds. I have been afforded many different ways in which I can develop my professional and educational skills.
Additionally, Wellmark is the only place I've worked which has an Inclusion Council, with the specific focus on Diversity and Inclusion within the workplace. Moreover, diversity and inclusion are more than buzzwords and broad concepts at Wellmark. Wellmark has a strong community presence and is quite generous with their time, resources, and donations.
Every company has pro's and con's, and Wellmark is no different. Am I predisposed to this opinion?.. well, of course I am. I work at Wellmark.. If I didn't have good things to say, I wouldn't work here :).
Cons
Project management and technology delivery/implementation timelines are very ambitious, while timelines are always important, these need to be adjustable as needed.
