Pros

Salary is competitive. When we were in-office (pre-covid) they did a lot of employee perks: food, drinks, etc. Job security. Health benefits were good (but not any cheaper than most employers) Perks like student loan programs, paternity leave, and paid education experiences are good.

Cons

• If you need a milestone job & experience, I think this place is ok but if you’re looking for a career here, it’s just not worth the amount of stress, conflict, and bull you’ll deal with in this organization. • We’ve lost a lot of really good tech talent in the last 1.5 years but there’s a little bit of a vibe of “who do you think you are” when people leave. • Incredible variance in how projects are run, expectations, and roles on projects. I’ve been on 15 projects in 4 years and it’s absolute chaos all the time with who does what, when things are due, when is done “done”, who needs to approve what, etc. Reinventing the wheel constantly, or just giving the reigns to a contracting company because we don’t know how to move forward with a project. • It seems like tension has only escalated each year i’ve been there. People disengage everywhere to cope on projects. Very little regard for doing things Agile, in sequence, or logically “just move the mark a little each week”. • The leadership high to low is unbearable at times. A lot of tech leads, delivery leads, team leads who moved into their roles because they’ve been there a long time, not because they were capable of the role. Not to say people can’t grow into roles but your entire leadership can’t be that way.
