Pros

Lots of opportunities. Healthcare is a dynamic place to work right now so there is plenty of work and job opportunities. Great facility.

Cons

Things move fairly slowly. Lots of processes. Management is aware and working on it but will take some time. Working from home is not an option.

I did my MBA internship at Wellmark Great people to work with, open to new ideas with a consistent aim to make healthcare and insurance cheaper and easier for people to understand and manage. Also excellent work life balance and a great office building in downtown Des Moines.

Cons

A bit slow for me. Too many processes to get a small change done
