Pros

Salary comes with the job, fairly decent fall back for sales folks

Cons

Focus is on number of products, not what is right - I understand sales goals, but don't ask me what I am doing every second of the day just because it is the first day of the quarter. YES I know sales is my job, goodness knows I need the paycheck, let me get my sea legs before you make me feel like I am walking the plank!

Pros

The company invests in it's employees by offering good training opportunities. The benefit structure appears to be comparable if not better to competitors. Many senior management executives have a long track record with the bank. As a result the company stays true to its roots of conservative lending. This promotes stability in good and bad economic times.

Cons

While the company is known for being stable, employees are not able to participate in higher bonus pay when profits are high. Other institutions are better at rewarding profitable performance. While the Wachovia merger should benefit the company long-term, short-term it is a drain on current resources.

Pros

Great Senoir Leaders. Company has a great reputation for being on industry leader, and I feel on the upper level it is run that way. .Wells Fargo also provides a great compensation package to its employees. They make it clear they are making an investment in their employees.

Cons

Not always honest in job scope. When I was interviewing, the positioned was explained to me to be "providing current customers other banking products." As I went through the training process, this quickly became calling customers with Wells Fargo Credit cards and soliciting a refinance of their mortgage. I think some of the lower managment structure needs to be evaluated. It seems as though sub prime managers have lost the sense of helping customers
