Pros

Wells Fargo is solvent, has a conservative approach to their business mix and credit evaluation process, maintains a massive retail franchise, is intensely focused on profit, and is likely to stay in business for a very long time.

Cons

Wells Fargo is a bloated organization with too many non-producing staff members, large numbers of obstructionist managers focused on self-preservation, and promotes largely adversarial working relationships among its team members. Infighting is common. In addition to force feeding the most profitable banking widgets to customers, team members must engage in heavy self-promotion and finally be inducted into "the club" to advance. With a culture based on hard core sales and a pervasive sweat shop mentality, large numbers of customers are alienated and tend to be ignored unless they are likely buyers of new products.

Pros

advancement opportunities, great benefits medical, vision & dental, tuition reimbursement, employee discount, and most importantly sales bonuses. I would recommend this job for college students, they can work with your school schedule, they are very flexible with school schedule.

Cons

there is any reason to be fired so be very careful anything can cause you your job. From being out of balance or "gaming " meaning cheating about the sales you actually made to being terminated from being late to work.

Pros

Wells is supportive of a great work life balance, investment research does great work, benefits are excellent. There are gennerally very good and supportive people that join the team. The C-Suite has done an astounding job of managing through the most challenging time in several generations. Kudos.

Cons

Wells is a very large company and they run a very tight ship when it comes to expenses so back office technology is far from the cutting edge. There are a lot of systems and they are not integrated. Some days it seems like most of my time is remembering user names and creating new passwords.
