      They hire the best. Offer training. The work is hard but the atmosphere is very friendly and helpful. A real sense of being in a team.

      Long hours. Time zones. Learning curve.

      Great People - Sub-Par Leadership

      Pros

      The general skill level of the operations team is quite high and the willingness to support colleagues around the globe is amazing.

      Cons

      Not a single person on the leadership team has experience leading a company this size. They struggle with strategic direction, often changing directions only a few short months after announcing the latest flavor of the month plan. The PM platform is one of the weakest in the industry.

      Contract Employers Bully an Otherwise Cool Company

      Diverse, friend staff. Modern work environment.

      Cons

      As a whole, the work was very monotonous, we were discouraged from and/or reprimanded for conversing with coworkers. Many of the issues I experienced were directly related to the contractual nature of my employment, even though mine was a long-term (minimum three years) contract. The company to which my division was contracted threatened almost daily to pull the plug and put us all out of a job. This even though employees regularly exceeded throughput objects by 150-300%. Projects changed without warning and without instruction or guidelines to work with. On top of this, there was significant turnover and management seemed to have very little say in how the contract employer treated Welocalize employees.
