Pros

Wendy's is a great place to start if you're looking for a first time job. It has some of the highest standards in the fast food industry in terms or food prep, cleanliness, and work ethic. They also took time to train me and thoroughly as possible. If you're looking to advance an opportunity always arises and managers are known for having addictive benefits. Shift Managers would always brag about how they just can't leave the job because the benefits can't be beat. They also offer tuition wavers if you take certain courses (usually ones that pertain to jobs that benefit the company). I think the expectation are pretty clear when you're an employee for this company and that was helpful in my eyes.

Cons

The job can be stressful. Sometimes they want you to do a lot with very little. If your supervisors were feeling the heat from upper management then you knew EVERYONE would be feeling that same heat. So when things get tough for the company the stress trickles down very quickly.

Pros

I enjoyed the people I worked with at the store. We had fun. Have even met some good friends while being there.

Cons

The pay is minimum wage and going into the first level of management is only $0.5 raise. With all the stress of managing teenagers that don't wanna work, low staff so everybody is always needed, having to meet the timer, and rude customers, the job was hell. Most customers will bite off your head instead of communicate the issue. Never enough people on staff to handle someone calling off. Out of store bosses are usually nice, until they e-mail. Then they are rude. Even had some bosses tell my store manager and co-manager they were a disgrace, when the store is the busiest year around in south Ohio and almost everybody working there loved them. Pay is only good once you run a district. Then with your bonus check, you can buy a boat while the lowest manager maybe can buy a pair of pants. They say do the right thing but ever since Dave Thomas died, they have taken away crew vacations and benefits. What they do offer is a joke including to low management. 401k but only match at 3%, so around $20 every 2 weeks for working 40+ hours. Sechdual is chaotic and random. Never know what you'll work week to week. Could close one night at 1am then be in the next morning at 8. Or even open at 5am then close the next night. Impossible to have a sleep sechdual.

Pros

Co workers and managers were very helpful. It was my first job and it was a good place to get a work experience

Cons

It is open until 1 am and closing takes about an hour. Not a good place if you don't drive
