Pros

50% discount on a meal once per shift. (Restrictions apply) You get money Food's pretty good

Cons

Blatant favoritism They say you'll get raises but you won't Poor hours Absolutely no chance for advancement unless you're close friends or in a relationship with a higher up. Outdated or damaged equipment, fixtures, architecture, facilities, etc throughout. No incentives, rewards, or appreciation for hardwork. (Favorites get this regardless) No time and a half on holidays Employees that have been there far, far less time than many others recieved promotions and raises. Not so coincidentally, they were friends of the management as well

Pros

I learned many interesting things while employed with Wendy's. I was fortunate enough to have a manager take me under her wing and show me everything. Within a year as of being hired as a crew member I soon became a shift manager, very soon after my tenure as shift manager I later became store manager. I was fortunate enough to have gotten to meet Dave Thomas on 2 different occasions. I mastered food waste, I mastered inventory, I also received top accolades for having a very clean store. I also received an award for outstanding dedication. Sadly I had to hang up my apron after being robbed for $1.50. The stress that it might happen again scared the living daylights out of me.

Cons

Working all the time, unsure what my days off would be. In order to keep the store a float I would sometimes have to run various stations due to the fact many employees didn't work their required schedules. When I became a store manager I finally saw where the money was but it also required constant work. I learned there is more to life than risking it over $1.50.

Pros

Good Pay/Benefits. Managers in the store were very friendly. Didn't have to drive far to get to work. Really good with getting time of if you needed it. Talking to regular customers that would come in every day (some multiple times a day).

Cons

Corporate management made job very stressful. Would bust our butts all day making the store look clean and they would still come in and yell at us that the store looked horrible. They would give you so many tasks to do, there was no way to get them all done in time and still be able to actually serve the customers. Was always fussed at because our sales were not as good as other stores that were located in much busier/higher populated areas. Was almost always understaffed trying to make unrealistic labor goals, which we could never make, even running the store at almost bare minimum staffing. Also, my GM would only hire teenagers; most of which were lazy, so it was more like babysitting than managing. Shift was 10 hrs with no breaks.
