Impose culture dictates that you attend off-work activities; if you don't, it can negatively impact your performance reviews. They say they are a big company, but they can't ship a successful laptop; they throw you to the client and leave you alone with no support. If you are on the bench, you need to apply for jobs, search for matches, they don't even know how to handle the internal resources.
