Cons

funding source differentiated (but not function centralized) staff's location and work prevent employees from collaborating more efficiently and cost effectively.

Pros

Great time off and benefits. Some senior management are incredible talents. Some projects teams are best in class.

Cons

No support infrastructure, project teams are isolated islands that must support themselves. It is a consulting firm, when a contract goes away so does/can the talent. Individuals must market themselves for promotion or new jobs when contracts end.

One can obtain great benefits. You will be in an interesting work environment. There is always something to do and something to research for more education in the field.

Cons

A lot of times you will encounter a lack of communication depending on who your supervisors are. There are also times when there is no clear direction on what they want done from you.
