Pros

- Resources: Management and CEO spend a lot of money and time for educating and training new advisors. - Co-Workers: Great employees, who are motivated and provide a lot of support in collaborative work. - Financial: Takes time, but the amount we get paid compared to the industry is great. - Culture: Positive & passionate work enviroment

Cons

From someone who is fairly new in the wealth management business, it takes time to build a book of business. Income and work consistency can fluctuate which can cause stress to individuals.

Pros

Great support staff. Training is first rate. Backed by a very good mutual life insurance company in Guardian Life.

Cons

Family life will suffer during your 1st few years there as you are building up your practice. GA is very intense; a carbon copy of Affleck from "Boiler Room" if you get the reference. Locks doors for meetings so don't be late. Home office can be lacking in terms of customer service and supporting field reps.

High Pressure/Forced Culture

Pros

Get to experience working under intense pressure with a side course of humiliation

Cons

Yelling, high pressure, hidden costs, humiliation. They force the employees to proclaim "Best Place to Work" through intimidation. Employees got physically sick due to the stress, revolving door and highly volatile management. An experience I wish to never repeat. A forced "culture" as well.
