Pros

Work was relatively easy and low stress I rarely had to work overtime and never had a problem taking off when I wanted to The people were great to work with and we hung out outside of work They have a great internship program, which I started with I like their recognition and rewards system that they use to give you positive feedback

Cons

Lack of opportunity for advancement Salary was much less than I could get elsewhere (albeit more hours/expectations) Management was not good at mentoring

Pros

Weyerhaeuser employees have great technical expertise. In my experience, many leaders in the company do actually care about both employees and the company.

Cons

There is a serious lack of upward mobility. Although former CEO S.Rogel is no longer with the company, Weyerhaeuser will be years if not decades recovering from some of the extremely poor decisions he lead.

Pros

Great place to work. It is nice being there at night when everything is quiet. A member of my family worked here and was able to get me a job for the summer while I was home from college. I enjoyed the people I worked with a lot and got to get in touch with my roots in south warren. I drove over 45 minutes each way to get there, like several other people I worked with, but it was the best job going, paying almost $20 an hour during the night shift. They are a great company and I would like to find something available higher in the corporation.

Cons

Very tedious and boring, but it paid very well for a summer job. I remember many nights of 110 degree heat in the factory between the machines, wearing a "sauna suit", scraping out the left over remaining garbage starch from the corrogator, this sucked bigtime. I felt very dirty whenever I left, but I felt like I had put in 8 hours of honest work. Management was harsh on the union employees, and gave me a very hard time whenever I needed to take a day off or come in late. I think there were too many managers on the floor, especially during 1st shift.
