The Sheer Arrogance of Management - No women in engineering

Better than no paycheck at all

Cons

Engineering Planner when asked about difficulty operators face using LOTOT system using numbers rather that common names "because we have to order the stuff". Women are not able to do the jobs they used to. Jobs that used to be routinely held by women are now far to difficult (heavy lifting, awkward lifting, zero attempt to rectify the situation). There have never been many, but now there are no (zero) women in engineering.

Pros

Many good people (may have to search to find them), some decent management (newer) who want to steer the company in a more efficient direction. The desire for positive change is present.

Cons

Entrenched employees are very resistant to any sort of change/improvement to processes. 5 separate IT departments interrupt efficiency. Instead of acting like an IT department in a Fortune 500 company, the approach is much more mom and pop.

Constantly going through change and resizing, even when profitable. Makes for an unnecessarily stressful environment. Latest leadership seems geared to sell many of the businesses.
