Pros

The people (not referring to management) make it work. Benefits are average at best. Your days off are usually your days off.

Cons

Extremely top management heavy- the worst I've ever seen in any company. Every other week, a new VP with a ridiculous title is being hired. Pay is below average, especially for the workload and what is expected. Benefits are average at best. The workload is too much for the employees running the front line.

Pros

Schedule allows for a lot of off time, but your pay will reflect. Easy job to learn if you have an aviation/military background. Managers are very understanding that “life happens”, and will accommodate to their best of abilities for you to take care of your family.

Cons

Terrible below the market salaries are thrown all around. To make good money you have to sacrifice a majority of your off time. You will not get pay raises as the company is extremely stingy with their money and only cares about their revenue. There is absolutely NO accountability within the departments especially between the operations departments such as crew scheduling and flight control. Constant changes in a stressful environment. This company does a great job reeling you in to a bear trap. Much of management is stuck in their ways and they hate new ideas that go against the way they like to do things because “that’s the way we have always done it”. You will be told there are a plethora of opportunities for growth, which is a total lie unless you are liked by management. Shift leads get paid to be ABSOLUTE JERKS and just boss people around with minimal effort to help out. The leads lack the ability to be good leaders.
