Pros

Most of the staff are very friendly and pleasant to be around. Management is open to feedback and working with staff to improve processes. The firm tries its best to incorporate fun events to boost morale and to create camaraderie. Another pro is they offer profit sharing.

Cons

At times, there were unreasonable expectations set that put staff in a tough spot. There is some intense and blatant favoritism in the office. (Not every manager is that way though) Favoritism negatively effects those who are favorited and those who are not. Those who are favorited run the risk of missing out on a wider variety of experiences that can stretch them into being more well rounded. Those who are not favorited can be treated poorly. Especially, when the unfavorited has to spend time cleaning up mistakes made by the favorited individual, which then makes the unfavorited individual have to take more time to do things. Taking longer to complete the task makes the unfavorited person look bad and they are put in a tough spot of not being able to explain the other person messed up, because that person is favorited. Also, some of the management has a tendency to spread gossip about lower staff without much concern of the real life consequences it has on those staff members. After doing some research, I found I could get paid a lot more working in industry for 40 hours a week over what I was getting paid working at Whitley Penn for 50-70 hours a week. The job itself is a lifestyle.
