Pros

Great firm that offers advancement to all in a family oriented culture. The partners are involved in all aspects of my career and always willing to help, even during the busiest times of the year. What I really like is the investment they make in their staff as they prepare them for the next level in becoming true business advisors.

Cons

The deadlines are just a part of the business. But that comes with any firm in public accounting. What makes the deadlines manageable is the culture the firm has created, which is one for all and all for one. Its nice to know you are not alone.

Pros

decent pay and training. Used to move on to better things

Cons

Partner of Tax is vindictive and tries to mold people to conform to her ways. She has succeeded many times thus creating a horrible work environment because everyone talk down to you if you are not in their clique. You get treated horribly unless you do. I watched this happen too many times to too many people and decided to get out. The company itself is great just stay away from the Texas City office.

Superficial Culture

Pros

Compensation is fair, professional development is a focus and supported by management. Decent benefits and perks are available as an employee of the firm.

Cons

Partners are very superficial and focused on material things. I witnessed a Partner flip up the tie of a manager and then ridicule him because it wasn't a designer name. The culture reminded me very much of high school- if you're not in the popular clique, partners don't give you the time of day. Everything in this firm is focused on business development. If you don't want to be a full time salesman- don't apply here! It's all about how much business you can bring to the firm.
