Pros

Zero pros. Worst management team in the industry.

Cons

People that should never get promoted with zero people skills are the people who do get promoted. Leadership wants idiots to control. The old VP of HR who now leads seed was controlling everyone and knows nothing about seed. There are cancers all throughout that company. If you try and leave they threaten you with a lawsuit or actually do sue you. They sued a whole bunch of people that left over the years. All frivolous lawsuits. It’s a sinking ship with bad management. They keep dropping down the croplife 100 for a reason. Stay away from this company if you value having a career.

Pros

There are no more Pros.

Cons

Everyone there that was directly interested in making the company successful and who's own interests were purely for the company being successful have all been let go in the last two years. Those of us who saw the writing on the wall got out early but the great strives being made were all thrown by the wayside bye folks that continue to run the company into the ground. It is sad to see what was such a great company pre-Covid run into the ground due to poor decision-making by managers still in place and those who sought to avoid such decisions were let go.

Pros

Private owned company, If you are looking for a middle management or upper management job it appears we are hiring at a rapid rate.

Cons

Used to be much more of bottoms up company where hard work was noticed and appreciated and rewarded. Now it is a top down,,,,top heavy company with layers of upper and middle management that are disconnected from what made it a great company. Tons of overhead that retail locations have to pay for. Advancement by any other means than knowing someone or being buddies is futile. Thinking that your hard work and loyalty will get you a chance at being offered advancement is a waste of time.
