Pros

Benefits are solid, flexible PTO is a big plus, work life balance is pretty strong, it’s a decent place to work, but not somewhere you’d want to stay too long

Cons

-Salaries are on the lower side and raises and promotions are currently frozen -there’s a lot of silos, working cross functionally across the organization is difficult -there have been a lot of layoffs over the past 2 years, most everyone is stretched thin

Some Perks, But Bad management

Pros

Overall, Wiley in general has some good perks and benefits: * Half day off on Fridays during the summer * Good benefits * Some fun community engagement activities (e.g., volunteer days, networking chats, well being activities)

Cons

These don't necessarily apply to Wiley as a whole, but for a specific department and managers in that department (People who run the higher-ed online textbook part of the business). * Micromanagers * Favoritism * Bullying/Mobbing * Toxic work environment * Very hierarchical company * Not open to different perspectives, opinions, or ideas * Women like males on their teams; * Not clear with deadlines; Meeting a due date is seen as a bad thing; Only beating a deadline matters.
