Pros

The hours are great, the atmosphere is very friendly and they make it a comfortable environment to work in. Plus there is a view of Manhattan!

Cons

The pay is low, especially considering that many employees live in New York City. Also, they keep it so that you are just barely happy enough to stay there.

Pros

A great company that is trying to bring it's business into the 21st century, a tough prospect for all publishers. However, it is well diversified and is willing to invest in itself or through acquisition to make it happen. A secure environment with good benefits and that invests in its employees.

Cons

A 200 year old company that has reached maturity, not sure where growth will come from. A little frustrating to work with people that have been there 30 years and see no different approaches. A challenge to get things changed.

Pros

Wiley has an excellent work environment. All of my colleagues are nice and enjoyable to work with. Also, there is a good balance between work and personal life.

Cons

This is common across the publishing industry, but entry level positions do not have high starting salaries.
