Pros

Exceptional Working Environment: The overall workplace culture is excellent, fostering a positive and productive atmosphere. Strong Collaboration: There's a high level of collaboration between Quality Engineers and Developers, making teamwork smooth and efficient. Supportive Team Members: Most team leads and tech leads are supportive and approachable, with only a few exceptions. Bonus Despite Downturn: Despite the company's current challenges, employees received bonuses due to the previous financial year’s profitability — a commendable gesture. Comprehensive Life Insurance: The company offers good life insurance coverage, contributing to employee well-being. Access to Advanced AI Tools: Employees have enterprise-level access to powerful AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude, and Cursor, enabling them to work more efficiently and stay current with emerging technologies. LinkedIn Learning Access: Availability of LinkedIn Learning is a great resource for continuous professional development.

Cons

Job Stability Concerns: The company's current state is less stable than in the past, with periodic layoffs creating uncertainty among employees. No Salary Increments: This year, no salary increments were provided to any employees, even during the usual review cycle, due to the ongoing financial downturn. Management Issues: Several managers have been reported as being unprofessional, often rude, and displaying favoritism, which negatively impacts team morale. Unfair Performance Evaluations: In some cases, performance reviews do not accurately reflect employees’ actual contributions, leading to dissatisfaction. Inconsistent Leadership Quality: While a few managers are supportive and effective, others fall short in leadership and fairness. Unfortunately, my own manager does not fall into the positive category.
