High turnover, micromanagement, internal friction amongst sales reps
Pros
Great sales meetings- they're fun and they spare no expense.
Cons
Sales reps can & will write in everybody else's territory including yours. It doesn't matter if it's a project that you are working bc all it takes is a new contact to call into the 800# and another rep answers the call- they can quote & write the order and you'll both split the credit- but the local sales rep is still responsible for meeting their goals for their local territory. This has caused a high turnover rate amongst the sales reps along w creating internal friction, confusion & uncertainty with the customers. I have never seen or experienced such a cluster such as this- absolutely no ownership whatsoever. The TSM's along w the other reps have to log into Zoom so that they can be monitored by mgmt for 2 hours while making at least 35-50 prospecting calls a day. If you love busy work & micromanagement- this is the job for you. Mgmt will allow other reps to poach other reps- even from the same branch, territories, state, etc... read the reviews- the negative reviews are factually true. Another thing, the salary/ compensation range that's listed at $80K-120K for TSMs is absolutely not true. A new TSM base is anywhere from $40K-$55K depending on experience... first year pay should be between $55-70K at most- and that's crushing it.
