Pros
Well established company, many long-term employees, great benefits, flexibility, great opportunities to learn and grow in knowledge and skills from coworkers and management. Generally good work environment.
Cons
You can get "boxed in" within some departments. I've seen a couple of engineers that should have been long ago promoted, and finally ended up leaving due to just that, as well as expectations that were not put upon others (i.e. extremely long hours, weekends, etc.) because they did their job so well, they actually had a more difficult workload to compensate for others that weren't. It's a lot about "who" you know within the company in order to advance, rather than what you actually do, or your job skills and ability to use them to their utmost. Some departments can get "clique-ish" and controlling. While others let you fly and do the utmost to champion that.
