Safety first when it's convenient

Pros

Decent pay, great benefits, some good perks. Tuition reimbursement. Job security is good even for the energy sector. Transfer opportunity.

Cons

Safety is only when it's convenient. If corporate is around you have to toe the line. If they arent, we'll management could care less if you got hurt as long as it was your fault and not theirs. Finger pointing and assigning blame should be the motto. Safety on the surface. Cannot advance unless you know someone.

Old company, antiquated ways

Pros

If you want to come to work, do nothing innovative, nor be involved with new and advancing procedures or technologies and just want a paycheck for life, this is your place. But with the buyout destined to complete shortly, most of the company will be sold off, the culture will vanish with the upcoming layoffs and this review will cease to matter.

Cons

Pay is much lower than comparative oil and gas companies in the area. Bonuses are terribly below similar companies bonuses. Poor management with no accountability. Offices are deeply disconnected from one another. Culture between teams is terribly siloed with poor communication.
