Pros

Good pay. Some great people, most in fact. No micromanaging at least for me. Nice building and location in Pittsburgh. Community conscious, lots of charity work.

Cons

Instability, no one knows what lies ahead with the merger collapsing. Paranoia of more layoffs. Some Management not too capable, full of yes men (people) Mgmt afraid of change or of rocking the boat. Layoffs were mostly worker bees, should have been more in Mgmt.

Pros

Williams has a great culture and offers their employees excellent benefits. Their pay is good for engineers and leaders in the technical function.

Cons

There is almost no development for young professionals or it is minimal. You have to be there for a really long time before being promoted.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good. Located all over and easy to transfer locations within the company.

Cons

Too big to care about individual employees. I worked for a company that was bought out by Williams and our workplace atmosphere went to crap overnight. New management came in and tried to push us around, change everything and make examples out of employees. The people I know that still work for Williams are trying desperately to find other employment.
