Pros

I would say above avg health benefits, on-site gym at corp hq, good work-life balance. Company is still small to be nimble but big enough to make positive impact in the Chicago banking footprint. Overall nice employees to work with. Decent annual bonuses.

Cons

Top heavy organization with lots senor mgrs. Corp communications is probably the biggest cons as sr mgrs doesn't pass down goals, direction to middle and lower level analysts. I.e. the left hand doesn't talk to the right hand. Lack of remote access from home. Merit increases usually small, below industry avgs.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities to advance or change positions. Since there are 15 banks, if no opportunities are open at one bank, something will probably come up at another bank.

Cons

There seems to be some political maneuvering at headquarters--some people trying to make names for themselves without taking ownership of their actions (or lack of action).
