VERY high turn-over rate
Borderline impossible to hit commission goals which are raised when an employee does manage to hit the goal. This come to 50% or more of what should have been earned in commission, deducted. Many of us struggle to bring home over $1k a month, and we have degrees.
If you're sick, dead, dying, deceased a week ago, it doesn't matter, you better show up. If life occurs and you are unable to make your shift theres hell to pay. Theres the typical need of Doctor's notes, but the management tends to issue payback in the form of treatment to the employee, sometimes for months in the future.
Favorites are picked, and life is a little easier. I've seen favored colleagues get granted 2 weeks of vacation in a row, not hit their goals and be awarded full commission, while others that have worked well over 50+ each week and miss a goal by a few numbers lose almost all of their money.
Almost zero employee value or respect. You're a number, and even if your skills are good, you're replaceable and all the management cares about is keeping the store staffed. You may be the only person with any knowledge on the floor, and it's you're job to train the new hires.
Our location doesn't have a refrigerator, microwave, cups, napkins, water. The basics. Management will allow it if the employees buy it. They wonder why the turn over rate is so high.
